The Mayfield Veterinary Clinic offers digital radiology services in the hospital. Having digital imaging gives us higher quality images to aid in diagnostic services and medicine while providing safe and minimal radiation exposure to our staff and your pets. It also enables us to email these images to referral centres for evaluation by specialists if need be.
How do you use x-ray and radiology services at your clinic?
Radiographs are a key aspect in diagnosing several medical conditions and diseases, including; heart disease, liver and splenic enlargement and masses, gastrointestinal blockages (foreign bodies) etc.
How do you prepare your dog for their x-ray appointment?
There is no preparation required unless specified by your veterinarian (i.e. fasting for 12 hours).
