McKaela Kennedy, RVT

Registered Veterinarian Technician
I went to school for the Veterinarian Technician program at Oulton College, and I chose this career because I have such a strong passion and love for animals. Helping a patient who can’t voice their concern can be so rewarding. My favourite part of my job is assisting in surgery, getting the animals ready, monitoring them while they’re under anesthetic and helping them recover.

The thing I love most about my clinic would probably be the people. My coworkers are very easy to get along with and the fact that I don’t have one designated role to perform, I get to use my skills in all areas quite regularly.

Fun fact: I lived in Australia for 3 years and my mum would get mad when I brought lizards into the house.
